Privacy Policy
Your games and player names stay on your device. Yatzy Score uses Google AdMob for a banner ad and Google's consent tools to give you control over advertising privacy.
About this policy
This policy explains how Yatzy Score for iOS, published by Aross AB, handles information when you use the app. It was last updated on July 31, 2026.
Game data stays on your device
Yatzy Score stores games, scores, player names, and last-used player names locally on your device. The app uses this data to run the score sheet, restore saved games, and make starting the next game easier. Aross AB does not receive this game data, and the app does not require an account or use cloud sync.
Advertising services
Yatzy Score uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display an adaptive banner ad at the bottom of the score sheet. It also uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to request and manage consent where required. Google and its advertising partners may process information from the app to provide, measure, protect, and improve advertising services.
Data collection by Google
According to Google's disclosures for the Google Mobile Ads and UMP SDKs, the following categories may be collected or derived:
- approximate location derived from an IP address;
- device identifiers, including the advertising identifier (IDFA) when Apple permits access, and other app- or developer-bounded identifiers;
- advertising data, such as ads viewed;
- product interactions, such as app launches, taps, and ad interactions; and
- crash, performance, and other diagnostic data.
These categories may be used for third-party advertising, advertising or marketing, analytics, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and app functionality. Depending on the category and your privacy choices, Google may link some advertising, interaction, location, or identifier data to your device.
Tracking and Apple's ATT permission
Before requesting Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission, UMP may show an explanatory IDFA message. If you allow tracking, Google may use the IDFA for advertising measurement and to show more relevant ads across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you deny ATT permission, Google states that the Mobile Ads SDK will not send the IDFA in ad requests. You may still see contextual or non-personalized ads.
Consent in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
For users in these regions, UMP may present a consent message before the first ad request. Yatzy Score does not request an ad until UMP reports that ads may be requested. The message lets you consent, decline consent, or manage individual purposes and advertising partners. Available advertising may vary according to your selection and applicable law.
Change your privacy choices
When Google requires an in-app privacy entry point, open Privacy Choices in Yatzy Score to review, change, or withdraw the choices collected through UMP. You can also change the app's tracking permission in iOS under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Google provides additional advertising controls in its Ad Settings.
Third-party processing and retention
Advertising information is processed by Google and, where applicable, its advertising partners under their own terms and retention practices. Learn more in Google's explanation of how it uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Age suitability
Yatzy Score is a general-audience app intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13. Advertising availability and personalization may be limited when required by age-related laws or platform rules.
Deleting local data
You can delete saved games from the in-app history. You can also remove all locally stored app data by deleting Yatzy Score from your device. Advertising choices managed by Google or iOS may need to be changed separately using the controls described above.
